Abstract:
To obtain an apparatus for manufacturing an optical member, and a method for manufacturing an optical member capable of reducing remaining gas between a lens molding surface and a base material, in comparison with a configuration in which a mold formed with a concave lens molding surface is moved toward one direction to press the lens molding surface onto the base material.SOLUTION: Using a rotational body with a radius R having, on its circumferential surface, a concave lens molding surface for molding a convex lens surface with a spherical radius r and a diameter d of an outer perimeter, the lens molding surface is pressed onto a surface of a base material.
