Abstract:
To provide a driving unit capable of reducing a detection error of a phase current of each phase of a motor detected by a current detection part.SOLUTION: Phase currents Iu, Iv and Iw of respective phases of a three-phase AC motor are detected (acquired) at two timings, i.e. a timing after a delay time from a crest of a triangular wave and a timing after the delay time from a trough of the triangular wave. In a two-phase modulation mode in which a switching element of one of three phases of an inverter is stopped from switching and switching elements of the remaining two phases are made to switch, the delay time ΔT is so set that differences between phase currents of the respective phases at the two timings, or a difference between currents of a d axis and a q axis based upon the phase currents of the respective phases at the two timings becomes small.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
