Abstract:
To provide a carbon dioxide reduction apparatus having excellent reduction effect and durability.SOLUTION: A carbon dioxide reduction apparatus has a first electrode, at least one of an electrolyte and an ion transportation film, and a second electrode. The first electrode has a reduction catalyst for reducing carbon dioxide, and has at least one of an amino acid or a polyamino acid represented by formula (2) in the same space for reducing carbon dioxide. At least one of the amino acid and the polyamino acid is supported on the first electrode or contained in the electrolyte.
