Abstract:
To provide a combustion apparatus capable of detecting failure of flame detection resistors during a combustion operation and having excellent safety and reliability.SOLUTION: A combustion apparatus includes: a flame detection circuit 6 for detecting a combustion state; and a control section 11 for controlling a combustion operation on the basis of a detection result obtained by the flame detection circuit 6. Connection is switched every prescribed time period so that either one of a plurality of flame detection resistors 7a, 7b disposed in parallel is connected to the flame detection circuit 6 during the combustion operation. Based on a difference obtained by comparing voltage values detected by the flame detection resistors 7a, 7b, respectively, failure of the flame detection resistors 7 is determined and the combustion operation is stopped.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
