Abstract:
To provide a resin composition and a water stop material, which can sufficiently follow and come into intimate contact with an irregular surface such as the outer wall of a house under pressure (in the state of being pressed against the irregular surface) even when being applied to the irregular surface, can continue to express a following intimate contact property under the pressure for a long period, and can persistently secure excellent water-stop performance for a long period.SOLUTION: The resin composition satisfies the following (A) and (B): (A) a 25% compression modulus of 300 kPa or less; and (B) a relaxation modulus of 9.0 kPa or more after a lapse of 125 days at 30°C. The water stop material uses the resin composition described above. The water stop material includes the resin composition containing a thermoplastic elastomer, an acid-modified resin, and 80 to 310 pts.mass of a metal hydroxide and 160 to 460 pts.mass of a softening agent with respect to 100 pts.mass in total of the thermoplastic elastomer and the acid-modified resin.SELECTED DRAWING: None
