Abstract:
To provide a vibration damping device which can efficiently collect data necessary for deciding a vibration damping device to be employed in a vehicle and exhibit desired response characteristics on the basis of the data.SOLUTION: A vibration damping device design support device comprises: an adjustment unit which adjusts response characteristics of an operation element included in a first vibration damping device that damps the vibration of components constituting an actual vehicle; an acquisition unit which acquires vibration data indicating the vibration input to the operation element and response data indicating a response of the operation element according to the vibration indicated by the vibration data when the actual vehicle incorporating the first vibration damping device is used; and a proposal unit which proposes a second vibration damping device on the basis of at least one of response characteristic data indicating the response characteristics adjusted by the adjustment unit, the vibration data and the response data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
