To provide a faucet and a method for manufacturing the faucet, wherein the faucet can prevent a first button cover and a second button cover from being misplaced.SOLUTION: A top cover 50 has a first interference part that interferes with a misplaced second button cover 42 and restricts attachment of the top cover 50 to a faucet body when the top cover 50 is mistakenly attached to the faucet body with the second button cover 42 placed on a tip side of a first button body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
