Abstract:
To provide a spinning reel that can eliminate a defect caused by product dimensional variations to obtain stable braking of a rotor, and also prevents the rotor from rotating inadvertently.SOLUTION: A spinning reel comprises a rotor 2 that rotates in conjunction with a winding operation of a handle, a bail support member that is supported on an arm part 2b of the rotor 2 and can rotate between a fishing thread winding position and a fishing thread release position, a moving member 40 that is provided on the bail support member and moves to a reel body 1 side, and an annular elastic member 50 that is attached to the reel body 1 and applies a braking force to the rotor 2 by bringing an end 43 of the moved moving member 40 into pressure-contact with the rotor. The elastic member 50 is held in an accommodation groove 16 of the reel body 1, and the accommodation groove 16 is formed with a relief part 13 that is recessed inward in a radial direction. The relief part 13 can insert a part of the elastic member 50 which is elastically deformed inward in the radial direction by bringing the moving member 40 into pressure-contact therewith.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
