Abstract:
To provide a thermal print head capable of inhibiting interference, and to provide a thermal printer.SOLUTION: A thermal print head includes: a main substrate 1 having a major surface 11 and a rear surface 12 which face sides opposite to each other in a thickness direction z; a resistor layer 4 supported by the main substrate 1 and having heating parts 41 arranged in a main scanning direction x; a first wiring layer 3 supported by the main substrate 1 and forming energization paths to the heating parts 41; a driver IC 7 which controls energization to the heating parts 41; a flexible wiring board 5 having a mounting surface 5a on which the driver IC 7 is mounted; and a conductive joint material 58 which joins the first wiring layer 3 to the mounting surface 5a of the flexible wiring board 5 so as to establish electric continuity therebetween.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
