To provide a technique capable of reducing the possibility of generation of undetected object that is to be detected in the captured image.SOLUTION: The image processing device includes: a first detection unit that is placed to detect a predetermined object and a predetermined portion included in the predetermined object from an acquired picked up image; a setting unit that is configured to, when the first detection unit detects only the predetermined object out of the predetermined object and the predetermined parts, set a detection range on the captured image based on the detection result by the first detection unit; and a second detection unit tries to detect the predetermined part from the detection range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
