Abstract:
To provide a high quality hydroxyapatite with extremely low residue of proteins and unfired carbons, etc., and a manufacturing method of a hydroxyapatite capable of mass production of the hydroxyapatite by a simple process.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a hydroxyapatite involves a firing step of firing a livestock-derived bone raw material at a temperature of 600°C or over and 900°C or under, and a pulverization step of pulverization of the bone raw material after firing to produce a powder of 50% cumulative volume particle diameter (D) of 0.8 μm or over and 100 μm or under. An embodiment where the livestock-derived bone raw material is a steamed and dried bone powder derived from livestock, a fired bone powder derived from livestock, a bone ash derived from livestock, a raw bone derived from livestock, or processed product of these is desired. An embodiment where the firing is performed under an oxygen-containing atmosphere is desired.SELECTED DRAWING: None
