Abstract:
To provide a current limit circuit and the like that can make the gamma characteristic in large-area video display close to the gamma characteristic in small-area video display.SOLUTION: A current limit circuit 140 includes: a gain determination circuit 148 that calculates a screen power value about a consumption power value on the basis of a pixel value of a video signal corresponding to each of a plurality of pixels and determines a gain on the basis of the screen power value; and a gain multiplication circuit 50 that multiplies the pixel value corresponding to each of the pixels by the gain. When a screen power ratio is less than or equal to a first power ratio, the gain is 1. When the screen power ratio is more than the first power ratio and 100% or less, the gain decreases monotonically with respect to the screen power ratio. When the screen power ratio is a target power ratio or more and less than 100%, the gain is a value less than the value obtained by dividing the target power ratio by the screen power ratio.
