Abstract:
To provide a remote cutting method and a cutting device capable of cutting a steel cutting object remotely with no fire.SOLUTION: A remote cutting method has steps of: causing a self-traveling travel body 20 having a direct acting type cutting part 30 cutting with an end mill 32 along a linear rail 35b and a magnet 27 attracted to a steel cutting object to travel to a cutting initiation position with the cutting object attracted thereto; cutting the cutting object linearly along the linear rail 35b from the cutting initiation position with the direct acting type cutting part 30 while the self-traveling travel body 20 is stopped, and returning to the cutting initiation position after cutting; and moving by the length cut by the direct acting type cutting part 30 with the self-traveling travel body 20. The cutting step and the moving step are repeated until the cutting object is cut.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
