Abstract:
To provide a lithium ion secondary battery regeneration method for enabling reuse of the lithium ion secondary battery itself.SOLUTION: There is provided a lithium ion secondary battery regeneration method including: a preparation step of discharging a consumed lithium ion secondary battery, which is a lithium ion secondary battery on which charging and discharging have been performed a plurality of times, to make a regeneration-prepared lithium ion secondary battery; a first replacement step of replacing a used negative electrode, which is a negative electrode of the regeneration-prepared lithium ion secondary battery, with a lithium supplement electrode containing lithium to make a pre-regeneration processing lithium ion secondary battery; a regeneration step of discharging the pre-regeneration processing lithium ion secondary battery to make a post-regeneration processing lithium ion secondary battery; and a second replacement step of replacing the lithium supplement electrode of the post-regeneration processing lithium ion secondary battery with the used negative electrode or a negative electrode that has not been used to obtain a regenerated lithium ion secondary battery.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
