To provide an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, and a program that can suitably use a display unit provided in a showcase for products.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus 1 comprises: a storage unit that stores product information indicating the sizes of products displayed on a shelf 3 and associated data of products displayed on a display unit 2 provided along product display positions of the shelf 3; a determination unit that determines, based on the product information, display positions of the products and associated data displayed in correspondence with the display positions; and a calculation unit that calculates a free display area in which contents can be displayed while maintaining a state where the associated data corresponds at least to the display positions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
