Abstract:
To provide a curtain airbag device which can protect a head of an occupant properly even during a local lateral collision in which a vehicle collides with an obstacle having a relatively small width.SOLUTION: A curtain airbag device 1 has a curtain bag body which is deployed at the side of an occupant during a lateral collision of a vehicle and includes a recessed part 41 which is formed at the curtain bag body 4 and receives a headrest 71 when the curtain bag body 4 is deployed. The recessed part 41 hooks on the front end side of an outer edge as seen in a vehicle width direction of the headrest 71 and prevents movement of the curtain bag body 4 in a direction of the occupant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
