Abstract:
Provided are a power unit and a power unit assembly method in which the interference between an inner rotor and an outer stator is prevented and the number of assembly steps can be reduced. This power unit (10) has a motor (M) having a rotor shaft (S) to which an inner rotor (R) is fixed, a case (C) for housing the rotor shaft (S), and a drive gear (D) for transmitting the driving force of the rotor shaft (S) to the downstream side, wherein the drive gear (D) forms in a substantially cylindrical shape separated from the rotor shaft (S) and is configured to be capable of connecting to the outer circumferential surface of the rotor shaft (S). The outer circumferential surface of the drive gear (D) is provided with a gear portion (65) for transmitting the driving force to the downstream side and a non-gear portion (65a). The case (C) has a bearing (53) into which an outer ring (53b) is press-fitted. The non-gear portion (65a) is press-fitted into an inner ring (53a) of the bearing (53) and thereby the drive gear (D) falls at a predetermined position.
