Abstract:
To provide an economical levee reinforcement structure and levee reinforcement method that can improve resistance performance against overflow of a levee and seismic performance.SOLUTION: A structure 10 for reinforcing a levee 14 comprising an embankment body 12 includes a wall body 16 provided in a wall-like shape inside the embankment body 12 from a top end 18 to a predetermined depth in order to maintain a top end height H of the embankment body 12 during external force action including an earthquake and when overflowing, and made of a ground improvement body that is a mixture of a ground material and a cement-based solidifying material. The wall body 16 can stand on its own even if a ground G1 on the inside of the embankment is scoured by overflow, and can maintain the top end height H even if the ground around the embankment 12 sinks due to seismic motion or water surface fluctuation on the outside of the embankment.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
