Abstract:
To provide a method in which P chemically adsorbed on a goethite in an iron ore can be quickly identified.SOLUTION: A method for identifying P adsorbed on a goethite included in a phosphorus compound chemically adsorbed on the goethite in an iron ore comprises the steps in which: the surface for analysis of the iron ore embedded in resin is adjusted by polishing; an infrared absorption spectrum of the surface for analysis corresponding to each field of vision is acquired; the field of vision where the goethite is present is identified by comparing the infrared absorption spectrum of each field of vision with the infrared absorption standard spectrum of the goethite; a total intensity of peaks derived from phosphorus is obtained in the infrared absorption spectrum of the field of vision where the goethite is present; and the presence of P adsorbed on the goethite, where a phosphorus compound is chemically adsorbed on the goethite, is identified based on the peak intensity of the adsorbed P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
