Abstract:
To provide a metal belt preventing generation of abnormal sound due to wearing step on a pully surface and deterioration in pully durability accompanying uneven wear: and to provide a belt type continuously variable transmission provided with the metal belt.SOLUTION: An endless metal belt 6 is structured by circularly connecting a plurality of elements 10, is wound and hooked between a pair of pulleys 3, 5 of a belt type continuously variable transmission 1, is obtained by alternately forming a plurality of crests 10a and grooves 10b in a radial direction of the pulleys 3, 5 on contact surfaces 3a, 3b, 5a, 5b to the pulleys 3, 5 of each of the elements 10, and includes at least two kinds of elements 10A, 10B in which the crests 10a in each of the elements 10 start from outer peripheral ends, positions of their starting points of all the elements 10 are the same, array pitches p of the grooves 10b are equal and also the positions of the grooves 10b are different from each other in the radial direction of the pulleys 3, 5. The belt type continuously variable transmission 1 is structured by winding and hooking the metal belt 6 between the drive pully 3 and a driven pully 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
