Abstract:
To enable optimal print setting while considering power consumption by printing in a printer.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a printer includes: a print head for printing information on a prescribed printing medium; a storage part including a database describing an evaluation value of print quality and a value of power consumption due to printing in accordance with a combination of each of a plurality of printing speeds by the print head and each of a plurality of printing densities due to the print head with respect to the printing medium; and a control part for performing control so as to set a combination with the lowest power combination among combinations of a printing speed and a printing density in which an evaluation value is equal to or more than a preset threshold to perform printing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
