Abstract:
A polishing plate of metal has on one surface projections 3 (i.e., teeth) arranged in groups 6, 7, 8 of differing coarseness and scales 4 for measurement, both the projections and scales being formed by etching. By using the different kinds of projections according to appropriateness for the occasions the object of polishing can be finished to different degrees and the scales are useful, for example, in measuring lengths of polished parts.
