Abstract:
The invention relates to a side channel compressor (1, 2) with a rotor wheel (8, 9) having conveyor blades (7) and with a device for introducing a cooling fluid into the conveyor section of the compressor. Damage to the conveyor blades by drops of fluid can be avoided in that, on that part of the compressor housing forming the side channel (10), at least one injection nozzle (13) for the cooling fluid is provided, the injection nozzle (13) being directed into the blade-free side channel (10).
