Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the gutter having improved strength such as impact resistance and improved rigidity and free of thermal deformation by a method in which a synthetic resin into which glass fibers are buried is extruded into a plate having projected lines along the longitudinal direction on its both side edges and the plate is bent into a trough form. CONSTITUTION:Extrusion molds 1 are connected to an extruder 2, glass fibers 4 adhered with an adhesive 3 are continuously inserted into a glass fiber pathway 11, and at the same time a molten synthetic resin 5 is injected from the extruder 2 into the synthetic resin pathway 12 to extrude a plate A containing glass fibers 4 buried in the synthetic resin 5 through the adhesive 3 and having projected lines 6 along the longitudinal direction on its both side edges. The plate A' is passed through plural pairs of rolls 7 to gradually bend the plate A' into a trough form with a nearly semi-circular cross section toward the advancing direction of the plate A', and a rain gutter containing glass fibers 4 buried in synthetic resin 5 through adhesive 3 and having lug edges of projected lines 6 on its side end edges is obtained.
