Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable smooth electrostriction operations by making diameter of a thin copper disc bigger than that of an electrostriction ceramic disc and welding only the rim portion of the external circumference of the thin copper disc to a circumferential rim of a circular flange. CONSTITUTION:In an electrostriction vibrator 4, dimeters of electrostriction ceramic discs 4a and 4b is made smaller than the diameter of a thin copper disc 4c. And the electrostriction ceramic discs 4a and 4b are adhered to both sides of the thin copper disc 4c concentric with each other in the form of a sandwich, and the rim portion 4f of the external circumference of the thin copper disc 4c is exposed. The rim portion 4f of the external circumference of electrostrictive vibrator 4 is welded to a circumferential rim 2b of a flange 2 having a concave portion 2a. Since mechanical vibration of the electrostriction vibrator is received by the thin copper disc, electrostriction operations become smooth and performance of the pump is improved.
