Abstract:
PURPOSE:The titled composition, containing sodium sulfate decahydrate or a eutectic salt thereof, a nucleating agent and a phosphate respectively in specific amounts, and having improved thermal energy storage performance and little corrosion on metal materials. CONSTITUTION:A thermal energy storage agent composition containing (A) 100pts.wt. sodium sulfate decahydrate or a eutectic salt thereof, (B) 0.2-20pts.wt. nucleating agent (preferred examples; borax, lithium borate tetrahydrate, ammonium borate tetrahydrate and potassium carbonate, etc.) and (C) 0.05-5pts.wt. phosphoric acid. USE:A thermal energy storage material for wall materials, flooring materials and trombe walls in passive solar house systems and auxiliary heaters by heat collection with heat pipes and heat pumps and utilization of waste heat, etc.
