Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition having improved dispersibility in water and an aqueous solution of an alkali even in the absence of a surfactant, by preparing an aqueous slurry of an organic cyclic compound having a keto and/or a hydroxyl groups, and dehydrating the resultant slurry to a specific moisture content. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous slurry of an organic cyclic compound, having a keto and/or a hydroxyl groups and a particle diameter of preferably <=100mum, and the resultant slurry is dehydrated to a moisture content of 5-30% on the wet basis and give the aimed composition. An anthraquinone compound, preferably an (alkyl)substituted anthraquinone or a Diels-Alder adduct of 1,4-naphthoquinone, and a (hydroxy)anthrone compound may be preferably used as the organic cyclic compound having the keto group.
