Abstract:
PURPOSE:To carry out shrinkproofing treatment without impairing excellent material characteristics of silk, by dipping a silk fabric using degummed hard twisted yarns in a tense state in water, other solvents or a mixed system thereof and heat-treating the fabric for a prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:A silk fabric using had twisted yarns is degummed and in a tense state dipped in water, other solvents or a mixed system thereof and heat- treated for a prescribed time to relax and eliminate 'susceptibility to shrinkage' unique to the fabric using the had twisted yarns. The above-mentioned heattreatment is preferably carried out normally at 60-70 deg.C for 5-20min.
