Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain the input of the position information on a projection type display screen by deciding the relative position of a cursor to the screen from the picture signal obtained from an image pickup device. CONSTITUTION:When a flow chart of a plant is displayed on a screen 1, an output state of a valve X is displayed. In this case, an indicator 3 is operated to project a cursor 9 onto the screen 1. Then a switch 8 is applied when the cursor 9 is coincident with the position of the valve X. Thus a picture processor 4 is started to convert the picture signal obtained from an image pickup device 7 into the digital and 2-dimensional picture data and to perform the prescribed data processing. The images of four markers 2 are obtained at the device 7 and show the four corners. Thus it is possible to detect the relative position of the cursor 9 to the screen 1, i.e., a specific position on the screen indicated by the cursor 9 from the positional relation between the marker 2 and the cursor 9.
