Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent phase separating and overcooling by a method wherein a low temperature unit is formed at a part of a heat accumulating vessel 4a and latent heat accumulating material, added with a gelling agent, is provided in a solid state at the inner wall of the low temperature unit at least. CONSTITUTION:The latent heat accumulating material 5, having the principal constituent of sodium thiosulfate 5H2O, calcium chloride 6H2O or the like is sealed in the heat accumulating vessel 4. The heat accumulating material 5 causes the change of volume in case of coagulation-melting, therefore, a small space is provided in the vessel 4 when the heat accumulating material 5 is sealed therein. One end 4a of the vessel 4 is projected out of the upper surface 1a of an outer casing 1 to contact with a low-temperature fluid (air) 7 and the temperature thereof is lower than the melting point of the heat accumulating material 5 in the vessel 4. The fluid, such as water, oil, air or the like, is introduced into the outer casing 1 through a fluid inlet pipe 2 while the fluid passes through the space 8 in the outer casing 1 and flows out of a fluid outlet pipe 3. The heat accumulating material 5 contains the gelling agent such as starch, gelatin, glass powder, alumina powder or the like.
