Novel substituted phenyltriazolopyrimidines of the formula wherein G and G<1> are N or C; R1 is halgoen, CN or an organic group; R2 is halogen, NO2 or an organic group; R4 is H, halogen or an organic group; R5 is H, halogen, NO2, CN, or an organic group; R6 is H or F; X, Y and Z are independently CR7 or N; and R7 is H, CN, halogen, NO2 or an organic group; exhibit herbicidal activity. They may be used inter alia for selective weed control in cereal crops.
