Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase the stability of idle rotation of an engine by a method wherein a correcting value for increasing the quantity of sucked air at the time of load operation of the engine is so corrected that the actual number of idle rotations of the engine becomes small and the resultant corrected value is used for controlling the idle rotation of the engine next time. CONSTITUTION:The output signals of an engine r.p.m. detector in a distributor 18, a throttle opening degree sensor 19 and a cooler switch 20 are inputted to a microcomputer 22 wherein the target value of the idle r.p.m. of the engine is compared to the actual idle r.p.m. and the target opening degree of the throttle is determined in proportion to the difference between the two. Further, the target opening degree of the throttle and the actual opening degree thereof are compared to each other and an actuator 14 is controlled in proportion to the difference between the two. Thus, when the cooler switch 20 is ON, the actuator 14 is controlled so as to increase the quantity of sucked air by a predetermined value on the base of the correcting value stored in a memory 22b and the correcting value is so corrected that the variation of the actual idle r.p.m. of the engine at the time of operation of a cooler becomes small with respect to the target value of the idle r.p.m. of the engine and the corrected value is stored in the memory 22b.
