Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0368227
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To dissipate any fluctuation between the rpm.s exhibited when a supercharger is operated and not operated, by applying an intake pressure on the upper and lower faces of the power valve operating piston of a carbureter which is used in a supercharged engine. CONSTITUTION:When a supercharger is not operated, the pressure at the opening 51 is low and the pressure in the chamber 44 of a diaphragm 41 is therefore low so that a spring 48 forces a diaphragm valve to close a mouth 49. A negative pressure is induced via a pipe 62 into the chamber 34 formed on the upper face of the operating piston 36 of a power valve 31, thereby sucking the piston 36 to close the valve 31. When the supercharger is operated, supercharged pressure is induced from a mouth 51 to push up the diaphragm so that the pressure is permitted to the run into a chamber 34 via a pipe 49. However, another supercharged pressure induced from the vent port 9 inside a float chamber is applied on the lower face of the piston, so that both the pressures cancels each other. Resultantly, the piston 36 is operated up and down according to the pressure inside an intake pipe fed from a pipe 62 so as to control the opening of a power piston.
