Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain uniform and easily visible display by eliminating the unequal graded brightness of the display surface of the X-Y dot matrix type liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION:A heat source is disposed on the open end side of either or both of an X electrode 2 and a Y electrode 3 and the temp. gradient reverse from the gradient of the transmissivity of the liquid crystal display element as shown by graphs (c), (c') is provided within the display surface 4. The grading of the transmittance by the dulling of impressed voltage waveforms is compensated by the grading of the temp. of such liquid crystal display element, by which the generation of the unequal graded brightness is prevented.
