Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a superconducting damage from occurring by dividing a side wedge at every stage of a superconducting field coil, and circumferentially holding the coil at every stage, thereby rigidly holding the coil. CONSTITUTION:A superconducting field coil 3 wound by an exclusive winding machine is contained in the slot 16a formed on a coil mounting shaft 2 at one side, and disposed in a slot 16b opposed to the other sides at every stage. After the coil 3 is mounted in the slit at every stage, a side wedge 21 is fitted. The wedge 21 is formed of an insulator to avoid the shortcircuit with the coil 3. The wedge 21 is divided at every stage of the coil 3 to be mounted. Thus, the inserting work of the wedge 21 is facilitated to rigidly hold circumferentially the coil 3.
