Abstract:
PURPOSE:To supply balanced optimum mixture by a method wherein air supplying paths are provided in respective fuel supplying systems of the multiple carburettors and the amounts of supplying air in respective air supplying paths are controlled individually. CONSTITUTION:Respective fuel systems 5 of the multiple carburettor, in which four sets of carburettors 1, 10, 20, 30 are connected in parallel, is arranged with air supplying paths 8, 38 for first and fourth carburettors and the air supplying paths 18, 28 for second and third carburettors while respective air supplying path serieses are provided with control valves 40, 41 respectively. Air-fuel ratios, different for each cylinder, are requested in accordance with the operating condition of a multi-cylinder engine, therefore, the operating condition of the engine is inputted into the control unit 42 to open and close the control valves 40, 41 in accordance with the requested air-fuel ratios of respective carburettors. In the embodiment of present invention, first and fourth cylinders may be controlled so as to be provided with the same air-fuel ratio and second and third cylinders may be controlled so as to be provided with the same air-fuel ratio but different from the air-fuel ratio for the first and fourth cylinders.
