Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a mark recording pattern in which reliability can be enhanced in the detection of special mark such as a sector mark and a recording pattern detector. CONSTITUTION:In an optical information recording/reproducing method wherein binary coded data along a track 50 on an optical disc are recorded/reproduced in circular pits 51 corresponding to '1' or '0' position thereof, identification marks each comprising a plurality of pits 100 elongated in the track direction are formed at predetermined intervals along the track 50 on the optical disc. The identification marks are then detected and data is recorded between thus detected identification marks.
