Abstract:
PURPOSE:To secure safety at a spot in danger of explosion while enabling quick charge in low voltage by connecting an antipolar rectifying element to a secondary cell to enable to charge through no current-limitting resistor at the time of charging. CONSTITUTION:In a diode 5, a cathode is connected to a positive electrode while an anode is connected to an outer connection terminal 3c other than the outer connection terminals 3a and 3b in order ot be antipolar to a secondary cell 1. Thereby, a current from the outer connection terminals 3a-3b to a load is made to flow at a spot in danger of explosion so as to limit the current Is to the value not ignitable through a resistor 2 even when a short circuit accident occurs. During charging in the safe place, a constant-current supply 4 for the charging is connected between the outer connection terminals 3a-3c while the charging current I c directly flows to the secondary cell 1 through the diode 5 without flowing through the resistor 2 so as to be able to provent heating of the resistor 2 and voltage drop.
