Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent an overrich state of fuel when an engine is accelerated, by stopping a fuel increase of acceleration in a predetermined time after starting it, in the case of a carburetor in which air-fuel ratio is feedback controlled by an exhaust sensor. CONSTITUTION:A control device 19, comprising a CPU20, memory 21 and an I/O port 22, controls air-fuel ratio in a carburetor 4 with a suitable correction coeffcient by the output of an exhaust sensor 8. When an engine is accelerated, the correction coefficient is increased from a required point of time so as to provide a rich state of fuel for acceleration by signals from an acceleration condition detecting means 13 and an acceleration degree detecting means 14. Following the above increase action, the air-fuel ratio is also controlled to a rich side, but fuel is increased richer than necessary because the air-fuel ratio dilutes gradually to a lean side even if the necessity of providing the rich state of fuel for acceleration is eliminated at a required point of time. In order to prevent this increase of fuel richer than necessary, correction for providing a rich state of fuel is immediately stopped after a predetermined time, being transferred to the correction in accordance with a degree of acceleration.
