Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make it possible to aim at regenerating a particulate trapping filter even though the temperature of exhaust gas is low, by providing pipe lines for supplying a fuel additive into a fuel supply system, and as well by previously dispersing catalyst in particulates so that they are mixed together. CONSTITUTION:A particulate trapping filter 12 is disposed in an exhaust passage 11 in a Diesel-engine 1, and traps particulates from a fuel chamber 2 in the Diesel-engine. There are provided pipe lines 4, 8 connecting between a fuel additive supply device and the fuel supply system of the Diesel-engine 1 in order to mix a fuel additive into the particulates. Chloride of Pb, Cu, Ca, etc. is used as the fuel additive, which is trapped in the trapping filter 12 in such a condition that it is contained in the particulates.
