Abstract:
PURPOSE:To dispense with a shaft seal liquid, by installing a shaft seal pipe in a discharge casing through part of a pump shaft, and extending the lower end to a lower part as a part coming to positive pressure at the time of steady- state operation of a pump. CONSTITUTION:In a part where pump shafts 2a and 2b of a discharge casing 4 are pierced, there is provided with a shaft seal pipe 1 which prevents air from mixing in a pump casing and also prevent a pumping liquid from blowing off to the outside. This shaft seal pipe is set to its length leading to more than a positive pressure part in a pump at the time of pump steady-state operation. Therefore, the casing inside in a shaft seal part can be made into negative pressure, thus the pumping liquid is in no case blown off to the pump outside and, what is more, a shaft seal liquid is disusable.
