Abstract:
A wiper blade for wiping the windscreens of motor vehicles comprises an elongated support element (24), loaded toward the windscreen, for a wiper rod (12) which rests on the windscreen. The wiper rod is made of an elastic plastic and has a longitudinal convex curvature in relation to the windscreen. To obtain a wiper blade which is exceptionally low and therefore insensitive to oncoming air during operation, the support element (24) is reinforced by fibers (26-36), preferably aligned in its longitudinal direction, which are applied in at least two layers on an elongated core piece (38) of the support element (24) and connected to the latter.
