Abstract:
A touch sensitive display comprises a display screen (40). Mounting means (41) mounts a plate (20) of a rigid transparent material, on the display screen (40). Touch sensing means (21,22,23,24) cooperates with the mounting means to producing a plurality of electrical signals (25,26,27,28) in response to and indicative of a force corresponding to tactile stimulus applied to the plate (20). The mounting means (41) comprises a film (41) composed of a transparent, elastic, adhesive compound, having a similar refractive index to that of the display screen (40). The compound is applied to one surface of the plate (20) for bonding that surface to the display screen (40).
