PURPOSE:To view a stereoscopic image and a normal image with a shutter device mounted by providing a shutter control means which has mode transition from opening control over both light shutter to opening/closing control a specific time when a start is set and also has transition from the opening/closing control to the opening control when an end is set. CONSTITUTION: When the display of a stereoscopic image is set by a setting means provided to a main body device 11 or shutter device 9, an RC signal for starting is transmitted by radio from one device to the other for a certain period. Both devices begin to display the stereoscopic image and perform the opening/closing control over left and right light shutters 12l and 12r from the rear edge of the constant period a specific period for synchronization later and thus the display of the stereoscopic image and the opening/closing control of both light shutters are started synchronously. When the stop of the display of the stereoscopic image is set, an RC signal for ending is transmitted by radio from one device to the other for a certain period and then while the main device stops displaying the stereoscopic image, the shutter device opens both light shutters. Consequently, the stereoscopic image and normal image are viewed normally with the shutter device mounted.
