Abstract:
PURPOSE:To seal the gas and liquid in a self-sucking stirring deep fermenter using an easily producible inexpensive structure, and to enable the fermentation in high efficiency, by using a gas-dispersing stirring blade attached to a hollow shaft inserted into a bushing having a specific structure. CONSTITUTION:A vertical deep tank fermenter 1 is supported by the supporting table 2. A stirring blade 4 having gas-dispersing opening is placed at the bottom of the fermenter 1 and rotated with a motor 8 via a sealed bearing 7. Separately, a cylindrical hollow shaft 5 is integrated to the top of the stirring blade 4 and dangled downward from the top of the fermenter 1. Gas is introduced from the outside of the tank into the tank through the suction pipe 3. A cylindrical bushing 9 made of a material softer than the hollow shaft and having excellent acid resistance and heat resistance (e.g. Teflon) is pressed into the lower end of the suction tube 3 and fixed. The hollow shaft 5 is inserted into the bushing 9 keeping 0.1-2.0mm of gap between the inner surface of the bushing 9 and the outer surface of the hollow shaft 5. The fermentation raw material liquid 10 is filled in the tank 1, the stirring blade 4 is rotated with the motor 8, gas is sucked through the suction pipe 3, the gas bubbles are divided to fine bubbles with the stator 6 and dispersed in the liquid 10.
