Abstract:
PURPOSE:To miniaturize a purifying tank and to contrive to save energy by boring a sludge inflow hole to the wall surface of the liquid surface side of a waste water inflow pipe provided under the liquid surface in a sludge culture tank and stably mixing constant quantity of sludge with waste water. CONSTITUTION:Organic substance in waste water is brought into contact with an elution filter medium which is arranged in a reaction tank and made of a microorganism metabolic product incorporating phenol and/or a compd. having phenol exposure group or humic substance. Thereby organic substance is made macromolecules and precipitated in a precipitation tank 16 as sludge. This sludge is sent to a culture tank 20 and while sludge is agitated by an aerator 36, aerobic bacteria and facultative anaerobic bacteria contained in water and sludge are acclimatized so that phenol and/or the compd. having phenol exposure group are incorporated in the metabolic product thereof. While one part of sludge in the culture tank 20 is mixed with waste water fed through a sludge inflow hole 31 which is opened to the part positioned in the inside of the culture tank 20 in a waste water inflow pipe 30 reaching the reaction tank 10, it is automatically returned to the reaction tank 10.
