Title:
【発明の名称】溶鋼の加窒方法
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07109002
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To nitride stably a molten steel with high efficiency by using gaseous nitrogen or a gaseous mixture contg. nitrogen as a working gas for a torch and controlling the electric power input to the supply rate thereof so that the nitrogen molecules are made into atomic nitrogen. CONSTITUTION:The working gas 4 for a plasma arc which is the gaseous nitrogen or the gaseous mixture contg. nitrogen supplied from a plasma arc generating torch 1 is increased in temp. and electrolytically dissociated by the electric energy applied between a cathode 2 and the molten steel 6 which is an anode. The electric energy to be applied in this stage is 0.6-3kW for each 1Nl/min flow rate nitrogen. The gas 4 is made into the arm 7 in the dissociated or electrotically dissociated state and is accelerated to collide against the molten steel surface 5 by which the nitrogen atoms are diffused into the molten steel.
