Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the accumulation (or adhesion) of organisms by a method in which linear, netted, needle-like, or bar-like electrodes are set in a ring form on the surrounding of a organisms antifouling area near the water surface of a structure constructed under water and a voltage is alternately applied to the electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A U-shaped water intake path 1 is led to the intake port of water-power station at the foot of mountain and a ringed barrierforming area 3 is formed near the water surface 6 of the wall 5 around a organisms antifouling area 4. Linear, netted, needle-like, or bar-like electrodes are also set and voltage is alternately applied to the electrodes to make the area 4 a non-electric field region, and the length of water-taking direction of the area 3 is regulated to tens m and the width of the area 3 is regulated to tens cm. Six(6) electrodes 8 are set on an insulator base plate 7 in a ringed form and voltage is applied from DC controlled power source 9 in such a way that the adjacent electrodes 8 become alternate ones. Bad electric influence on fish can thus be prevented.
