Abstract:

The invention relates to a comminuting device for stirring matter (12) which is introduced, together with a medium (11), into a comminuting container (1) in order to comminute this matter (12). The comminuting device comprises a rotatable stirring apparatus (6) which has a vertical shaft (3) with bar-like arms (4) which extend horizontally and in a plurality of planes. A lowermost arm (5) is provided with vanes (5a) whose front end is situated in proximity to the base of the comminuting container (1). As the introduced matter (12) is comminuted during the rotation of the stirring apparatus (6), those parts of the matter (12) and of the medium (11) which lie at the bottom of the comminuting chamber (1) travel upwards over the top side of the vanes (5a) of the lowermost arm (5) and reach the level of the other arms (4). The particles of the matter (12) are hereby further dispersed, as a result of which the entire matter (12) is more thoroughly mixed.
