Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for locally defined, adherent applying of small plastic parts on compression moulded pieces essentially of adhesively bonded or synthetic-resin bonded natural fibres or shavings, which pieces are compressed into the desired form in a compression mould from a preformed, loose layer of natural-fibre and/or shavings/binder mixture introduced into the compression mould, involving a setting reaction of the binder and a volume reduction of the layer. Thereafter, using or modifying the method steps described below, there takes place a direct form-fitting injection of the small plastic part(s) onto the wall of the compression moulded piece at the point of attachment. During the compression moulding operation, at least one clearance or weak spot is formed in the wall of the compression moulded piece at the point of attachment of the small plastic part on the compression moulded piece, said clearance or weak spot being made smaller than the small plastic part. The finished compression moulded piece is placed in a defined position with the point of attachment into a split injection mould for moulding on the small plastic part, one mould half of the injection mould coming into contact in a sealing manner with the near side and far side of the wall of the compression moulded piece. The plastic for forming the small plastic part is injected into the injection mould from one side of one mould half and - within the injection mould - completely fills the clearance in the compression moulded piece, the plastic penetrating into the mould half opposite the injection side through the clearance or through the weak spot, which breaks open under the pressure of the injected plastic. …
